Key Responsibilities

Pre-sales: assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint.
Sales calls: be the main technical resource on sales calls and answer / educate the customer on issues ranging from features, specifications and functionality to integration.
Conversant with networking applications and solutions.
Post-sales: be the lead technical contact for identified accounts for technical issues and will work closely with the technical support team and engineering to answer, elevate and resolve customer's technical issues.
Provide assistance to identified customers with post-sales training.

Basic experience in Pre-sales SE engagement, or demonstrable equivalent industry experience
Fluent in German and English
Ideal candidates will have prior experience selling network infrastructure-based security appliances, including but not limited to: Firewalls, SSL/IPSec VPNs, Security Proxies and Caches
Practical experience working with routing and switching products that will be installed adjacent to the Security appliances
Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills, both internally and externally
Solid problem-solving skills, ability to analyse multivariate problems and use a systematic approach to gain quick resolution
Solid and effective organizational and time-management skills
Basic experience with systems installation, configuration, and administration of routers/switches, UNIX/Linux and Windows-based systems (prior Active Directory/LDAP experience desirable)
Experience in L2-L4 Networking (L2 Switching architectures including Spanning Tree, IP routing including OSPF and BGP, L4 Load balancing)
Experience selling, demonstrating, installing and troubleshooting network infrastructure products
Experience training customers and partners on technical subject matter, including new networking and security features
5–8 years’ experience in technical/pre-sales support as a Sales or Systems Engineer
1–3 years’ experience in public Cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP)
Understanding of DNS and HTTP, TCP/IP
Knowledge of the following technologies: Firewalling, Routing, Network Security, API, Scripting, and Cloud orchestration
Experience with encryption and authentication technologies is required
Strong presentation skills
Education

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Graduate degree preferred
