COURSE SUMMARY -

Build an in-depth working knowledge of how to configure and manage Infoblox appliances and the Infoblox Grid. Learn how to configure and manage the DNS and DHCP protocols, including: forward and reverse mapping DNS zones, DNS views; DHCP networks, custom options, ranges and fixed addresses; and visually manage the IP space using IPAM. Perform Grid management, including, system and protocol level monitoring, remote authentication, NIOS upgrades. Implement advanced NIOS features, including, Dynamic DNS with TSIG and GSS-TSIG, DNSSEC zone signing and validation, DNS Anycast, and DHCP failover.

COURSE SUMMARY -

Develop a working knowledge of configuring and managing Infoblox network appliances running NetMRI. Understand automated collection of network device configuration information. Learn how to use the collected information for configuration and change management, network policy management and automated compliance checks and reports. Learn how to gain efficiency by automating repetitive and time-consuming Command Line Interface (CLI) tasks using the Infoblox CCS Scripting language. Study the rules of CCS scripting and explore introductory to advanced scripting solutions in hands-on labs. Discuss how to automate your organization’s existing CLI tasks with CCS scripting. Understand the integration points between the NetMRI and Core DDI products.

techniques for network connectivity and DNS and DHCP issues. Use a case-study approach to apply your learnings to real-life failure scenarios and recovery methods.

This is an advanced-level course for team members who provide day-to-day management, operations, and technical support of the Infoblox DDI product.

Prerequisites -

Attendees should have completed their Core DDI Basic Configuration (CDBC) and Core DDI Intermediate Configuration (CDIC) courses and accreditations and have at least six months experience supporting Infoblox Core DDI products..

Course Description 

Establish a basic working knowledge of how to configure and manage Infoblox as a perquisite to implementing infoblox Secure DNS products.  Learn how to configure and manage the DNS protocol, including: forward and reverse mapping DNS zones and DNS views.  Implement advanced DNS security-related features in Infoblox, including, Dynamic DNS with TSIG and GSS-TSIG, DNSSEC zone signing and validation, and DNS Anycast.  Build a baseline working knowledge how to configure and manage Infoblox on premise Secure DNS products, including, DNS Firewall with ActiveTrust, TIDE and Dossier; Threat Insight and Advanced DNS Protection.
