Bringing a decade of service excellence, customer success and best-of-breed IT Security

Sunday, October 4, 2015: Dubai, UAE - StarLink, the region's trusted security-specialized "True" Value-Added-Distributor (VAD), announces its 10 year anniversary since the company was founded in October, 2005. This milestone is a reflection of great achievement, and the company's ongoing commitment to its vision, vendors, partners, and customers.

To commemorate the 10 years of trust and hard work, StarLink unveils its "10th anniversary logo" that reflects the company's unbeaten attitude and confidence.

Nidal Othman, Managing Director at StarLink, commented "In 2005, we recognized that there was a gap in the market that still exists to a certain extent, to effectively tell the Compliance and Next-Generation Threat Protection stories, and bring great vendors together with great partners to support enterprise and government customers in the region. This was the driver to become a Trusted Security Advisor and enabled us to pioneer and define the concept of True Value-Added-Distribution, which has in turn provided us the privilege of enjoying phenomenal growth since the beginning. Looking back and realizing that the top 50 banks, the top 15 telcos, the top 100 energy companies and the top 200 government entities use one or more of our technologies, makes us proud."

Mahmoud Nimer, General Manager at StarLink, added "As just two IT Security professionals launching the company in Dubai in 2005, we definitely had a dream. But we did not think that we would evolve into a family of 225 employees 10 years later, with 10 offices around the world, turning over more than $100 Million in sales. Every year we have grown an average of 50% or more, and have achieved record sales in the first half of this year with clear indications of overachieving our target by year-end. These accomplishments are of course attributed to our network of Channel Partners, the ongoing belief from customers, and our vendors who have continued faith in us being an extension of their teams on-the-ground."

Avinash Advani, VP Business Strategy at StarLink, concluded "Looking to the future, we will continue to develop our Channel into fully autonomous Partners, and assist existing customers achieve defense-in-depth, multi-layered security. But our vision is to take our success story globally and enter all emerging and established markets that have a need for a True VAD. We are now in the process of launching our new territories of Europe, as well as, North, East and West Africa, and expanding our US footprint. From a portfolio perspective, the foundation for IT Security has now been laid, and keeping pace with the latest technology trends we look forward to adding further building blocks on top. This will include behavioral analytics, Internet-of-Things (IoT), cloud & datacenter, mobile and incident response technologies."
