StarLink Explains the Need for Security Intelligence at a Successful (ISC)² Kuwait Chapter Event

Addressing the Current Threat Landscape is Key to Senior IT Security Decision Makers in Kuwait

Kuwait City, KUWAIT – May 15th, 2013 – StarLink, the leading IT security-specialized Value-Added-Distributor in the Middle East was selected to present at the International Information System Security Certification Consortium (ISC)² Kuwait Chapter event hosted on April 18th. The event was hosted at the Holiday Inn, Downtown Kuwait and attracted 45 IT Security decision-makers in Kuwait.

Tamer Gamali, President of the (ISC)2 Kuwait Chapter and CISO at National Bank of Kuwait, commented after the event was over, "(ISC)2 Kuwait, is a local Chapter, affiliated to the International Information System Security Certification Consortium, Inc [ISC2], USA, the leading non-profit organization for information security professionals in the world. The Kuwait Chapter is the first established Chapter within the Middle-East region and was established in September 2012. Since then we have conducted several events to benefit the security professionals in Kuwait. The Local Chapter has developed a chapter program to provide its members an opportunity to build a local network of their peers to share knowledge, collaborate on projects and to create new to ways to earn CPE credits. The members of this Chapter hail from security communities and represent different industry segments such as Banks, Public Sectors, Private Companies, etc. and the membership is continually growing. We typically only invite vendors to present at our events, but StarLink is known as a trusted security advisor in the region, and we were very pleased with the quality and delivery of their presentation."
