December 30, 2019 I Novotel Riyadh Al Anoud, KSA
Join us for the fifth Ruckus Technical Family Distributor Day which will focus on the latest Wi-Fi IEEE 802.11ax wireless standard, also known as Wi-Fi 6.
Demands on enterprise Wi-Fi networks continue to grow as enterprises make Wi-Fi the default – and often only – network access method, users adopt new devices and applications, and IoT deployments take off. Wi-Fi 5 has been in the marketplace for more than five years, and manufacturers are now releasing products based on the next generation Wi-Fi 6, which delivers a significant boost in wireless network performance. During this workshop we will discuss not only the technology improvements available in Wi-Fi 6, but also the anticipated impact on network design, and what network managers can do now to prepare and capitalize on Wi-Fi 6. We will also show the implications of adopting the new 11ax APs portfolio on the wired network (multiigigabit switches).
The new standard brings improvements in many different areas. It expands the multiple input, multiple output (MU-MIMO) techniques to transmit simultaneously up to eight streams compared to four streams on 802.11ac Wave 2. Furthermore, it piggybacks on MU-MIMO with Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) technology allowing each MU-MIMO stream to be split into four additional streams, boosting effective average throughput per user by four times.
